Laura Black - Inner Temple - Barrister
I studied Law at Swansea University and graduated in 2018 with First Class Honours. I then went on to study the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) at BPP University part-time, whilst working full-time as a criminal defence paralegal. I was called to the Bar by Inner Temple in November 2021. Between completion of the BPTC and starting pupillage, I volunteered at the Women's Legal Centre in Cape Town, South Africa. I focused on Violence against Women and considered proposals for law reform in relation to intimate partner violence. Outside of Law, I am an avid traveller and surfer. I enjoy experiencing new cultures and meeting new people. I will commence a criminal pupillage at 9BR Chambers in October 2022.
