Lucy Colquhoun (ex Royal College of Music)

I just wanted to get in touch to let you know that I actually decided not to start at Guildhall (School of Music and Drama) this year. The deadline for acceptance of the place was in early July and I decided it was more sensible to wait a year in case of another winter lockdown which I wonder now looks slightly less likely than it did a couple of months ago! Never mind! Coming up in the next few months… I am performing at the Oxford Lieder Festival in October, giving the first of live concerts at the Red House in Aldeburgh with baritone Julien Van Mellaerts (winner of the Ferrier and Wigmore Hall Song Competitions)… very excitingly we will be performing some settings of poems by William Blake with an original William Blake painting in the room where the cycle was written!!! I will also be performing at Kings Lynn Festival with baritone Benson Wilson who also won the Ferrier Competition in 2019 playing with me. I will also be continuing my position as staff pianist at the Royal College of Music.
