Rosa Kelly - 2022/23 Awardee - Chelsea College of Art

I am a London-based artist and illustrator who recently graduated from the Fine Art( BA) at Chelsea College or Art and Design. My work includes figurative oil painting, drawing, print-making and animation. In 2021 I took part in an Erasmus exchange to Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna, where I was able to study print-making techniques such as etching, engraving, lithography and aquatint. My work is often concerned with the strange and uncanny, taking inspiration from folklore and fairy tales. In September I will begin an MA in Children's Book Illustration at Goldsmiths, University of London.
